(2) Overview: Development of the system aims at an economical execution of replacement of metallic cables in rural and other areas. This system uses the radio system and provides such services as conventional public switched telephone, data communications up to 144kbps, and ISDN-based service. The system is composed of both hardware and software products including subscriber station equipment to be installed at customers premises for provision of these services, cell station equipment capable of linking up multiple subscriber stations via radio sections, control station equipment and remote monitoring & control equipment to control the cell stations and connect the telecommunications circuit to the network, and programs for the remote monitoring & control equipment.
