The Government requires 7 each Pulse Forming Networks, Northrup Gruman [Westinghouse] p/n 97942; NSN: 5915-01-360-9876. The Pulse Forming Networks are believed to be proprietary to the original manufacturer, Westinghouse. The Pulse Forming Network is a component part of the National Weather Service, Nexrad Radar System. The Government does not have drawings or specifications for this item. The items are being purchased in support of the U.S. Dept. of Commerce/NOAA, National Weather Service, National Logistics Support Center, Kansas City, Missouri. The Government intends to contract Northrup Gruman for the equipment. The proposed procurement action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit to only one source under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1). This is not a call for proposals and no solicitation will be issued. Interested parties are encouraged to respond to this announcement within 15 days of it's publication.
