66 -- DIGITAL MEASURING AND TEST EQUIPMENT SOL DATM01-95-R-0022 DUE 051995 POC Contract Specialist Shirley Hayes (817) 288-9578 (Site Code DATM01) This is a notice of intent to extend Contract DATM01-95-C-0020 for the upgrade of sixty-five Improved Field Data Collector (IFDC's) Units, and the extension of technical and engineering support. The Government intends to negotiate with one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. IFDC's are unique test instrumentation units currently under continuous development with the ACMS, Corp, Sacramento, Ca. ACMS designed, developed and produced the original units which are a unique one-of-a kind instrumentation system. FDC's were developed to support the U.S. Army Test and Experimentation Command (TEXCOM). The function of the current Field Data Collector is to collect and record digital messages from up to 4 tactical radio inputs, simultaneously. The contract extension is required to develop IFDC's capabilities to interface and collect data from the Army's Advance Field Artillery Tactical Data Systems (AFATDS). The upgrade is scheduled to began April 30, 1997. Extended technical and engineering support is required through 30 September 1997 for interfacing and systems operational test. The Government does not have sufficient documentation (technical data package) to procure the IFDC's based on full and open competition.
