Nonpersonal services for Reprocessing of Surgical Medical Instruments.
Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, facilities, and
transportation necessary for reprocessing and packaging of Government
owned surgical instruments to include but not be limited to cleaning,
sharpening, and sterlization. Contractor must conform in strict
accordance with all applicable policies and procedure for the Food and
Drug Administration (FDA) and its Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP),
Joint Commission for The Accrediation of Healthcare Organizations
(JCAHO), The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), The
Association For The Advancement of Medical Instruments (AAMI), The
Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN), and The American Hospital
Association Technical Advisory Bulletin for Refuse of Disposable
Medical Devices to include orginal manufacturer guideline for
reprocessing and reuse. If there are no manufacturer's guidelines,
contactor must contact the manufacturer for information on the physical
properties of the medical device and if possible obtain information for
cleaning, packing, and resterilizating of medical devices. Reprocessing
of surgical medical instruments shall only be accomplished by an FDA
registered remanufacturing facility with appropriate liability
insurance. The Government shall retain title and ownership of all
medical instruments provided to the Contractor for reprocessing. A
Firm-Fixed price contract is contemplated. Only written request for
