Contracting Officer (301/713-0829) The U.S. Department of Commerce,
National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Security
Office, has a requirement for administrative and technical services
related to security issues. The Contractor shall furnish the necessary
personnel, supervisiion, training and other services as required to
perform the Government's requirements. A g eneral synopsis of the
Government's requirements are: (1) Security Service Center Operation.
-- Man the Security Service Center which is a single, centralized
location where NOAA employees and contractors obtain various security
services such as badge production and issuance, access card
programming, securityrecords checks, fingerprinting, foreign travel
briefings and advisories, visa/passport photographs, employment
clearance, and security debriefings and other administrative functions
such as answering telephone calls, greeting clients, data entry and
database management and text processing (2) Guard Force Oversight. --
Evaluate day-to-day performance of guard services in and around the
Silver Spring Metro Center, produces and maintain written guard
instructions, monitor compliance, and report discrepancies, exercise
proactive oversight of guard operations and interact with NOAA clients
to promote efficient and effective guard service and maintain positive
interaction with clients. (3) Incident Response and Management. --
Respond to incidents, coordinate emergency responsnes, collect
information and report actions to NOAA management personnel; perform
functions such as incident reporting and investigation, coordination of
surveillance, police liaison, crime summaries and trend analysis, and
research. Prepare security awareness andeducation materials to inform
Government personnel of development related tocrime. the period of
performance is for one full year. The work to be performed is located
at East-West Highway and Colesville Road, Silver Spring, MD. All
responsible sources may request in writing a copy of the Requests for
Quotation and must be in this office within fifteen (15) calendar days
after publication of this notice. No solicitation document exists.
Late responses will not be accepted. We anticipate award within the
Simplified Acquisition Threshold. No telephone requests will be
