DESCRIPTION OF WORK -- The work includes the repair and replacement of Motor Control Center, Automatic Transfer Switch and electrical distribution boards and incidental related work at Building 560, Naval Comand, Control and Ocean Surveillance Center (NCCOSC), RDT&E Division, San Diego, California. The work includes removing or altering existing work in such a manner as to prevent injury or damage to any portions of the existing work which remains; repairing or replacing portions of existing work which have been altered during construction operations to match existing or adjoining work, as approved by the Contracting Officer. At the completion of operations, existing work shall be in a condition equal to or better than that which existed before new work started. -- -- The estimated cost is between $100,000 and $250,000. -- Firm Fixed Price Contract. -- Contract duration is 120 calendar days. -- Bids will be considered from all responsible sources. -- This project is unrestricted. -- The Standard Industrial Code is 1731 and the annual size standard is $7.0 million. -- It is recommended the subcontracting plan goals reflect a minimum goal of 5% for Small Disadvantaged Business subcontracting effort. -- NOTE: Plans and specs will not be mailed to firms within a 20 mile radius of the issuing office. A fee will be charged for all plans and specs.
