The Federal Bureau of Prisons intends to award a nonpersonal service contract to the qualified individual or business capable of providing elevator maintenance and repairs for the orderly running of the Federal Medical Center, Lexington, KY. Services include but are not limited to: furnishing all supplies, materials, parts, tools, equipment, labor and supervision necessary to provide full preventive and other maintenance and repair services as noted. This shall include inspections, adjustments, test and replacement parts as specified for any of fourteen elevators operated at the institution. There are two freight elevators, three wheelchair elevators and nine passenger elevators. The contractor is required to perform in compliance with ANSI codes and have at least three years of successful experience in elevator service/repair. This is a nonpersonal service, not to exceed 30 hours per week, and not a personnel appointment. The anticipated issue date of solicitations is March 19, 1997, with an anticipated receipt of offers due by April 17, 1997.
