Scope of work: The purpose of this project is to expand the existing loading dock located on the western side of the facility. The project includes modifications to the existing loading dock and the addition of a new loading dock area. The work will be scheduled in two (2) phases: New Dock Construction (Phase I) and Existing Dock Modifications (Phase II). The summary of work for this project included, but is not ~limited to, the following: A new building addition of approximately 1600 sq. ft. and an existing dock expansion of 2800 sq. ft. The work includes installation of approximately 2000 sq. feet of new roof, nine (9) rolling service doors with dock seals, two (2) overhead doors, eight (8) dock levelers, and two (2) double-acting doors. The work also includes removal and relocation of existing equipment. Demolition, removal and disposal of bituminous pavement, bollards, interior and exterior concrete slabs, concrete walls, masonry walls, exterior metal wall panels, steel overhead doors, hollow metaldoors and frames, electrohydraulic dock levelers, hand rails, double-acting doors, piping, conduit, wiring and lighting. Installation of foundations, concrete slabs, bituminous pavement, bollards, structural steel, steel roof deck, rigid insulation, built-up bituminous roofing, roof drains, metal coping, exterior metal wall panels, concrete walls, masonry walls, steel canopies, hydraulic dock levelers, dock bumpers, dock seals, roll-up service doors, overhead doors, radiant heating system, exhaust fans, circulation fans, dry pipe sprinkler system, underground fire line, conduit, power and control wiring, interior and exterior lighting, new closed circuit television system. Remove and relocate an existing trash compactor, recycle bin, edge-of-dock leveler, fire extinguishers, fans, louvers, dampers, and radiant heating system. Remove and turnover to the U.S. Postal Service, an existing closed circuit television system. Offeror must have a minimum of five (5) years experience as a General Contractor and must have satisfactorily completed at least five (5) projects of similar size and scope. A preproposal conference has been scheduled for March 31, 1997 at 10:00 a.m. in the main conference room at the Southeastern PA P&DC, 1000 West Valley Rd., Southeastern, PA 19399-9998. The estimated price range is between $600,000.00 and $1,000,000.00 with completion required within 180 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed.
