Work consists of removing a hydronic heating and cooling system with through-the-wall fan coil units, piping, insulation, associated hydronic equipment, and cover panels. Other equipment to be removed includes a chiller, boiler, and minor controls. The boiler flue has asbestos-containing insulation which is to be abated by a Florida licensed asbestos abatement contractor in accordance with federal, State of Florida, and local asbestos abatement rules and regulations. Pumps, an air-handling unit, and some above-grade ductwork are also to be removed. New equipment to be furnished and installed includes a boiler, chiller, air handling units, pumps and miscellaneous other hydronic equipment, and a direct digital control system. Some electrical work will be required to support the modifications of the mechanical systems. Minor architectural changes will be made to convert existing closets and storage areas into spaces for air handling units. Estimated dollar range is between $250,000 and $500,000.
