CUSTODIO, JR, (619)532-8106, Contracting Officer, MIKE NYE, (619)532-8088 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for service maintenance contract (commercial items), prepared in accordance with FAR Subart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation, number N00259-97-Q-0057, is issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 90-43. Items to be acquired: (1) On-site full service maintenance contract on listed gov't.-owned equipment to include all parts, labor, transportation and unlimited corrective maintenance calls for the period of 01Apr97 thru 30Sep97. Statement of work includes (a) correct inoperable condition in a timely manner with a response time of no later than 24 hours after telephone notification, to a monitored contractor emergency telephone number to be provided by the contractor. (b) The contractor may use Gov't. utilities, (electrical power, compressed air, and water) that are available and required for any service performed under this contract. (c) To ensure minimal downtime to equipment, the contractor shall maintain replacement repair parts and materials necessary to perform each repair or supply said parts and materials within (1) one day. (d) Parts and supplies shall be guaranteed to be equal in all respects, including performance, interchangeability, durability and quality to be the OEM parts when new or presently recommended by the manufacturer. (e) Two (2) preventive maintenance for the period of the contract. (f) Seven (7) days per week, 24-hour coverage corrective maintenance calls. Delivery Free on Board (FOB) Point: Destination to NAVAL MEDICAL CENTER, Urology Division, Bldg. 3-2, San Diego, CA 92134- 5000. This acquisition incorporates the following FAR Clauses: 52.212-1 INSTRUCTIONS TO OFFERORS-COMMERCIAL ITEMS (OCT 95); 52.212-2 EVALUATION- COMMERCIAL ITEMS (OCT 95) is incorporated by reference with the following addenda: in paragraph (a) the government will evaluate proposals based on technical capability and cost to the government.
