The project consists of upgrading current 386/486/Pentium hardware to Pentium Pro based workstations and a new LAN/file server. In addition to hardware upgrades the operating system will be upgraded from DOS/Win 3.11 operating on an Ethernet under Netware 3.1 to windows NT 4.0 (workstation and server). In addition, Microsoft system management software/tools will be used to manage LAN and interface with other computer systems on the Coast Guard Yard's WAN. The engineering legacy programs will be upgraded to Windows NT compliant programs. Solicitation packages should be requested via fax from Robert Orofino.
