The Solicitation will be available for downloading from our BBS (703) 428-0864; 28.8 baud) and at our website (http://issaa-www1.army.mil) on/or about 21 Mar 97. Hard copies will not be distributed. The SSTS-1 acquisition will provide for upgrades and enhancement of personal, portable, and server computers (486 base) currently in the Government's inventory that have been purchased under various contracts within the last three years. The contract will also include a rather extensive list of peripherals and software for upgrade/enhancement purposes. A minimum of a three-year warranty of newly installed items will also be provided under the contract. Upgrades/enhancements will be installed on-site by the Contractor, mail-back factory installation, or user installed. The closing date for receipt of proposals is on/or about 1 May 1997. Full and open competition is sought and the solicitationwill result in one FFP/IDIQ award with a 36-month ordering period; ordering will be open to all DOD and other Federal Government offices.
