Smith (508)233-4368 (Site Code DAAK60) This solicitation replaces Solicitation No. DAAK60-97-R-9616, Cold Weather Clothing Systems, published on February 10, 1997, which has been cancelled due to a change in requirements. All those who requested Solicitation No. DAAK60-97-R-9616 NEED NOT RESUBMIT A REQUEST FOR THIS SOLICITATION, they will automatically be included on the mailing list for the new solicitation. The U.S. Army Soldier Systems Command has a requirement for commercially available cold weather clothing for the Special Operations Forces; a stretch fleece overall with rainbow drop-seat, a heavy-weight fleece jacket and a wind-resistant fleece jacket. One Firm Fixed-Price, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity type Contract is anticipated. The contract shall consist of a basic ordering period and two optional ordering periods of 20 months each. Each ordering period shall have a minimum of 50 sets and a maximum of 10,000 sets. Offerors will be required to submit two (2) sample sets, size Medium, in subdued colors with their proposals. This acquisition will be conducted using Best Value procedures. Proposal evaluation factors will include price, warranty, past performance in the manufacturing of fleece items and wind resistant fleece items, and other factors. The SIC Code for this acquisition is 2329; the Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees. The RFP will be released on or about March 31, 1997.
