The U.S. Army TACOM-ARDEC, Defense Ammunition Logistics Activity is seeking firms that can provide a lightweight, man portable ammunition handling exoskeleton system designed to augment the individual soldiers capability to do ammunition tasks by allowing larger lifts, faster movement of ammunition and more protection without relying on large material handling equipment (MHE). This system will be stowed on any of a family of tactical wheeled vehicles, operated by a single soldier and capable of uploading/downloading and transporting 4000 pound pallets in and around ammunition supply points. This system will be fully functional in remote locations providing ammunition handling capability were MHE is not available.
