Specialist Cheryl A. Lowery (301) 619-7150 (Site Code DAMD17) A -- The
U.S. Army Medical Research and Material Command (USAMRMC) has a
requirement for the preparation of radiolabeled compounds for use in
its drug development program. The objective of the project is the
preparation via synthesis of labeled compounds for use in metabolic and
pharmacological studies in the antiparasitic, chemical defense and
antibiological programs. The resultant contractor's facility must have
the capacity for performing all types of labeled synthesis.
Respondents must have demonstrated capabilities and experience in the
synthesis of radiolabeled organic compounds. All products must be
completely assayed as to identity as well as chemical and radiochemical
purity. The contractor will also be required to store the labeled
compounds under proper storage conditions and distribute them as
requested. The principal investigator should have extensive experience
in the synthesis of radiolabeled compounds, and supervisory and/or
managerial level responsibilities. The contractor will be required to
furnish all the equipment and facilities necessary to perform the work.
The contractor must have a broad NRC license or equivalent State or
City license for radiolabeled materials. Requests for the solicitation
must be in writing and shall reference RFP DAMD17-97-R-0011. Requests
may be faxed to 301, 619-2937. The RFP is planned for release on or
about 1 April 1997. Proposals are due 45 days after the actual issue
