U.S. Army Engineer District, Savannah, intends to negotiate with Post,
Buckley, Schuh & Jernigan, Inc., 5300 West Cypress Street, Suite 300,
Tampa, Florida 33607, on a sole source basis to enter into a
modification for a fire suppression system for Hangar 701. This work
will be an expansion of the work currently being performed under
Contract Number DACA21-96-D-0030, Task Order No. 0001. Work includes
design of an aqueous film forming foam (AFFF) fire suppression system
complete with water supply lines, pump station, interior piping and
sprinkler heads, catchment and drainage system, and retention pond.
This system will be integral with the other fire protection systems and
life safety code rennovations already under design by Post, Buckley,
Schuh, and Jernigan, Inc. The AE shall provide continuity with all
other design elements and disciplines, and shall be liable for the
entire project design. The AE shall provide one complete set of design
documents with all construciton elements shown for one construction
contract. The authority of this plan of action is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1)
FAR 6.302-1(a)(1). Only one responsible source and no other supplies
or services will satisfy agency requirements. All responses will be
considered and replies from firms interested in this requirement must
be submitted within fifteen (15) days after publication of this notice
to Mr. Robert Strom, 347th Civil Engineer Squadron, 3485 Georgia
