NAVAIR intends to negotiate this procurement with McDonnell Douglas Aerospace (MDA), P.O. Box 516, St. Louis, MO 63166-0516, the designer, developer, and sole manufacturer of the F/A-18 aircraft. MDA is the only firm possessing the adequate existing facilities, tooling, and special test equipment to manufacture this requirement in an accurate and timely manner.
