This is NOT a presolicitation notice pursuant to FAR Part 5, but is a Sources Sought Synopsis to identify sources that can integrate, install, test, and operate an automatic painting system consisting of robotics manipulator(s), paint mixing system, and paint dispensing system to apply the necessary protective coatings to F-15 A-E model aircraft with a minimum of manual intervention. The system will be used to apply military specification primer/paint coating systems in multiple paint schemes to various F-15 sized aircraft. The contractor will be required to integrate and operate their automated painting system in an existing USAF facility constructed to meet Class I, Division 1, explosion-proof requirements of the National Electric Code. Respondents to this notice will be sent a DRAFT Statement of Objectives (SOO) and a Contractor Capability Survey. Contractors must provide approved DD Form 2345 with their request. Contractors may obtain a DD Form 2345 Certification by contacting Defense Logistics Service Center, at 1-800-352-3572. The extent of allowable foreign participation has not been determined; therefore, the release of information to foreign sources will be determined at time of request. The Government reserves the right to limit such participation subsequently.
