The National Marine Fisheries SErvice (NMFS) will use the herring as food for Hawaiian monk seals adn must meet the following catch/preparation requirements: 1) herring must be individually quick frozen (IQF) within 2-4 hours of harvest (not block frozen); 2) fat content must range from 5%-7% of total weight; 3) herring must be packed in 38-pound boxes and stored in freezers at an even -20 deg. F; and 4) herring cannot have been caught and frozen for more than one month at time of order. Provide total delivered price to deliver frozen herring to Honolulu, Hawaii no later than 5/9/97.
