This contract action is for repair services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with the General Electric Co., Daytona Beach, FL. under the authority of FAR 6.3. This firm is considered the only supplier of these services because they are the sole designer and manufacturer of the equipment that were already purchased by the Government. The proposed Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) for repair services shall be for a period of three (3) years. Interested persons may identify their interest and their capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five (45) days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
