99 -- CABLE TEST SYSTEM UPGRADE SOL N0025397Q0136 DUE 031297 POC Contact Point, Julie Peterson, 360-396-5673 The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Keyport (NUWCDK) requires an equipment upgrade for the Cable Test System manufactured by DIT-MCO International. The following items are required to achieve the upgrade: 1)one each upgrade 9504.T81-0175 to include ATA/Terminal Selector Assembly with TLC II Card to replace existing Logic Rack, Terminal Selector and TLC I; Capacitance Comparator Subsystem (CCS); Software Upgrade; PC-24 Pentium 100 with minimum 1 GB Hard Drive, 16 MB RAM, 3.5 inch floppy drive, 4X CD ROM, Mouse and Windows 95; backup ZIP Drive; 2) one each Upgrade 9504.T81-0175 to include DCS III, Digital Comparator Subsystems to replace existing DCS II; CVT-1, Calibration Verification Tool; ATA/Terminal Selector Assembly with TLC II Card to replace existing Logic Rack, Terminal Selector, and TLC I; CCS; Software Upgrade; PC-24 Pentium 100 with minimum 1 GB Hard Drive, 16 MB RAM, 3.5 inch floppy drive, 4X CD ROM, Mouse and Windows 95; 3) one each Automatic Program Generator; 4) one each WIRESORT, Wirelist Sort Program; and 5) Installation and training of items 1 and 2. The Cable Test System contains DIT-MCO proprietary equipment. The Government is unable provide the information necessary for a competitive procurement. Therefore the Government intends to negotiate this requirement with DIT-MCO International, 5610 Brighton terrace, Kansas City, MS 64130, on a sole source basis. This procurement will be made in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The solicitation will be issued on or about 8 April 1997 with a 22 day closing.
