M -- OPERATION AND MANAGEMENT OF A TERMINAL HUB OPERATION SOL 475630-97-A-0117 POC Mark Treese, Purchasing Specialist, 901 747-7577 The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) intends to solicit technical, management and pricing proposals from qualified suppliers to operate and manage Terminal Handling Services for the Southeast Area Hub and Spoke (HASP) operation located in Clinton, TN. It is anticipated that the USPS will require approximately sixty (60) individuals within four (4) labor categories within an eighteen (18) hour operational tour, i.e. material handling laborers, material expediters, two (2) supervisors and one (1) project manager. Initial evaluation of proposals will be made based upon which proposal offers the best value to the Postal Service simultaneously a comparative analysis of contracting for this operation versus using in-house resources will be made.
