Eglin AFB, FL 32542-6808 58 -- NEW TECHNOLOGY GLOBAL POSITION SYSTEMS (GPS) RECEIVER POC Karen
Schutt, 904/882-8601, Ext 5076; Joe Giangrosso, 904/882-8601, Ext 5082
Sources are sought to provide the next generation Global Positioning
Receiver (GPS) receiver for the Range Applications Program (RAP). The
receiver shall be "All-in-View" C/A and P/Y code capable. The receiver
shall be capable of accepting differential corrections locally and
providing a desired one sigma RMS position accuracy of 1.0 m in
horizontal and 1.0 m in vertical. The receiver must be capable of
tightly coupling to an inertial sensor to provide optimal performance
in high dynamic environments (up to 10 Gs). It is desired that either
a lower quality inertial sensor would be used to provide a one sigma
RMS velocity accuracy of 0.1 m/s in horizontal and 0.1 m/s in vertical
while a higher quality inertial sensor would be used to provide a one
sigma RMS velocity accuracy of 0.005 m/s in horizontal and 0.005 m/s
in vertical. The receiver shall be capable of operating in a kinematic
mode with a desired one sigma RMS position accuracy of 0.1 m in
horizontal and 0.1 m in vertical. If carrier phase is not available the
receiver shall gracefully degrade to the next optimum mode of operation
and return to kinematic operation when possible. The receiver shall be
capable of accepting Wide Area GPS Enhancements (WAGE) if local
corrections are not available. The receiver shall perform Receiver
Autonomous Integrity Monitoring (RAIM). GPS receiver outputs shall
include all raw measurements data (GPS and inertial), full
Time-Space-Position Information (TSPI) solution, Kalman filter quality
data, and receiver status information. The receiver/inertial unit must
fit within an AIS-P4 (AIM-9 type) pod. This equipment is expected to be
fielded in 1998. (0076) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0269 19970319\58-0013.SOL)
