The system will transmit music, announcements and other data by satellite broadcasting directly into individual commissaries at various geographical locations. The system will be provided at no cost to DeCA and is expected to generate revenue for DeCA by selling air time to advertisers. The estimated base period is July 1, 1997 through June 30, 1998 and includes four (4) option years. The Standard Industrial Code is 7389 and the business size is $5 Million. This requirement is solicited on an unrestricted basis. This is a new requirement, no previous contractor performance information is available. The solicitation will be issued on or about May 1, 1997 with a tentative closing date of June 2, 1997. Anticipated award will be on or about June 27, 1997.
