The Treasury Department, Financial Management Service (FMS), has a requirement for the preservation of computer software and data in a secure environment and will satisfy subject requirement by entering into a small business set aside Commercial item (CI) procurement using Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The Contractor shall be responsible for moving all materials from their existing location in the Washington, DC area to the Contractor's storage location. The Contractor shall provide secure storage for magnetic tapes, tape cartridges, data cassettes to be picked up by the Contractor on a weekly basis. The required services to be performed by the Contractor shall include pick-up of magnetic tapes, tape cartridges, data cassettes; inventory control and tracking of these media, with the submittance of weekly inventory reports; return of all magnetic tapes and tape cartridges after a two (2) week storage period; return of all data cassettes. The Contractor-provided storage site shall reside at the Contractor's facility. All pick-up and delivery services shall occur at the Department of the Treasury, Financial Management Service, Platform Operations Division, Tape Library, Room 306A, Prince Georges Center II, 3700 East West Highway, Hyattsville, Maryland 20782. FMS will be using the Internet EXCLUSIVELY (NO HARD-COPY SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS WILL BE ISSUED) to distribute all solicitation documents for this requirement. All solicitation documents distributed by FMS may be obtained from the Internet at http://www.fms.treas.gov/procure.html. To ensure timely receipt of any updates and/or amendments to the solicitation, FMS recommends that vendors interested in this requirement consider the subscription service available on the FMS Procurement Opportunities home page. Vendors shall be responsible for obtaining all solicitation documents from the Internet. FMS plans to place Solicitation No. RFP-FMS-97-0009 on the Internet on or around 4/3/97. If the solicitation is not up by 4/3/97, FMS recommends that vendors check the Internet daily until such time that the solicitation becomes available.
