Z -- REPAIRS AND ALTERATIONS TO VARIOUS FAMILY HOUSING UNITS NAVAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING CENTER NEWPORT, RI SOL N62472-97-B-6925 DUE 050797 POC Ms. East, Procurement Technician, 401-841-2543. This acquisition is unrestricted. The work includes but is not limited to the contractor furnishing all labor, materials, transportation, tools and equipment and the supervision necessary to perform the work all in accordance with the requirements of delivery orders for repairs, construction and alterations to various facilities. The price of each order will be based upon a pre-determined wage, material and equipment rental rates as established in the schedule of indefinate quantity work. The work shall be as the Newport Navy Base, Newport, RI. The work also include but not limited to carpentry, painting, plumbing, pipe fitting, electrical work, bricklaying, carpet installing, cement metal work, steamfitting, asbestos work and lead work. Estimated cost range: $500,000 -- $1,000,000. The SIC codes are 1521/1522 and the small business size standard is $7.0 million. The proposed contract is subject to evaluation criteria set forth in DFAR 252.219-7008 -- Notice of Evaluation Preference for Small Disadvantage Business Concerns -- Construction Acquisitions -- Test Program (APR 1996).
