This acquisition will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 12, ACQUISITION OF COMMERCIAL ITEMS. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-32. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement, number F19628-97-R-0349, constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Note 22 applies; however, the period for consideration of proposals is hereby changed from forty-five days to fifteen days. Proposals received within fifteen days of issue of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. The following provisions apply and are incorporated by reference: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items; 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items (a completed copy of the provisions at 52.212-3 must be included with the offer); 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items; and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items. The evaluation criteria to be applied to this acquisition are: 1) compliance with the specifications listed above, 2) software must be Year 2000 Compliant or, non-compliant items must be upgraded at no additional cost to be Year 2000 Compliant not later than 31 December 98 and, 3) copies of commercial price lists/catalogs.
