Naval Air Station (NAS) Key West requires services to rebuild Falk Gear Box, model number 2135M, serial number 91680-41P Ratio 2.98:1. Work to be done on the week of June 17, 1997 (completed in 2 weeks). Contractor to furnish labor and materials. Existing unit has scuffed and fitted gear train and bearings require replacement. Gear box to be rebuilt with 2.5:1 ratio gears instead of existing 2.98:1. Contractor to furnish attached parts list. Used gear with 90% of original remaining are acceptable with new bearings and seals. Contractor to furnish gearbox materials and two (2) mechanics to oversee and assist with removals from existing gear box and rebuilding of gear box and clutch. Check alignment. Government will furnish transportation of parts from supplier to Key West, FL. Government will furnish all riggings rear, cut deck access as required, furnish hand tools and machine tools. Government will furnish additional mechanics and riggers as required to assist contractors representatives.
