MULTI-DISCIPLINARY ENGINEERING SERVICES SOL FA4416-97-RA045 DUE 060497

301-981-2374 The Air Force requires Title I Multi-Disciplinary
Engineering services for residential/family housing and other type
facilities and activities at Andrews Air Force Base and associated
sites. Title II services may also be required as part of this contract.
Typical design services may include Architectural, Landscape Architect,
Interior Design, Civil Engineer, Structural Engineer, Mechanical
Engineer, Fire Protection Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Environmental
Engineer, Industrial Hygienist, Sanitary Engineer, Communications
Engineer, and Consulting Services for Storm Water Management, Survey,
Land Planning, and other related design services at Andrews Air Force
Base and associated sites. Design work includes the production of
drawings, english, and metric standards, specifications, estimates and
related documents as required to execute construction projects,
surveys, investigations, fact finding studies and economic analyses in
support of design or proposed design activities. All design documents
shallbe prepared in compatible word processing format and all drawings
shall be produced in CADD format. Typical design work involves general
Multi-Disciplinary engineering projects involving the following types:
(a) site development; (b) building alterations, (c) repairs, (d)
maintenance, (e) renovation, (f) additions, (g) modifications, (h)
environmental designs including, asbestos, lead, fuels, and other
requirements, (I) landscaping. Project shall include all necessary
engineering to provide proposals for a complete and usable facility.
Two separate indefinite delivery contracts (IDC) shall be established
through this announcement. Period of award is one year with an optional
one year extension. Each IDC will have a maximum monetary limit of
$750K with a minimum of $37.5K, per IDC, per year. Individual work
orders of up to $299K may be written as part of the open-end, IDC. The
starting date of each contract will be approximately October 1997.
Firms selected for this work will be evaluated and ranked on the
following criteria, listed in order of decreasing priority: (a)
specialized experience of the firm in the type of work requested; (b)
availability of experienced key personnel; (c) capability of the firm
to accomplish the work in a timely manner; (d) past experience of the
firm with respect to similar level work; (e) location of the firm in
the general geographical area of the work; (f) volume of work
previously awarded by the Department of Defense. Architect-Engineer
firms which meet the requirements described in this announcement are
invited to submit completed Standard Forms 254 and 255 to: 89
