The work to be performed under this solicitation includes (a) installing approximately 2.6 miles of polyvinyl chloride membrane lining, (b) earthwork for reshaping approximately 0.7 miles of canal prism, (c) furnishing and placing approximately 6.5 miles of gravel surfacing for operation and maintenance roads, (d) furnishing and installing approximately 24 corrugated metal pipe drain inlets, (e) furnishing and installing approximately 6.25 miles of fencing, (f) removing existing reinforced concrete hydraulic structures, and (g) constructing miscellaneous concrete stuctures. The estimated price range of the work is $500,001 to $1,000,000. The work is located approximately 4 miles east of Vale, South Dakota in Butte County. Solicitation packages are anticipated to be available May 23, 1997. Request for solicitations should be received on or before June 10, 1997. The bid opening is tentatively scheduled for June 24, 1997, at the office of the Bureau of Reclamation, Newell Field Office, 209 Darmouth, Newell, South Dakota. The contract is to be completed by May 10, 1998. There is no charge for the first copy of the soliciation, additional sets will be provided upon receipt of a nonrefundable check or money order of $9.00 each. After issuance, the solicitation may be viewed, without charge, at the following offices of the Bureau of Reclamation; Newell Field Office or Great Plains Regional Office, Federal Building Room 2031, 316 North 26th Street, Billings, Montana.
