Work includes furnishing all required plant, labor, equipment, materials, insurance, transportation, and consultants necessary for the proper and safe removal, handling, and disposal of friable and nonfriable asbestos-containing materials (ACM). Asbestos-related work for this contract includes demolition, removal and disposal of ACM and the encapsulation of the surfaces from which ACM was removed. Asbestos-related work also includes personal, area, background and final air clearance monitoring. IAW Chapter 469 of the Florida Statues, Florida Dept of Business and Professional Regulation -- Division of Professional Asbestos Licensing Unit, only contractors licensed in the state of Florida can perform asbestos abatement in the state of Florida. The basic performance period will be from award for a 12 months period. The contract will include four (4) one year option periods. Thereis a non-refundable $20.00 charge for each solicitation package. Make checks or money orders payable to DFAS-Orlando. Cash will not be accepted. Only written request will be accepted. The check or money order must bear the solicitation number. This is an unrestricted acquisition. Estimated magnitude for this project is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. (0077)
