POC Ed McGinnis, 02-33M, 703-602-0599, Synopsis No.21 Production of
WSC-6(V)X, SHF SATCOM Terminals and modems. The Standard Industrial
Classification is 3669. QTY 447(including all options). Potential
offerors must possess a SECRET clearance 30 days after award. The RFP
will be transmitted through the SPAWAR Bulleting Board System (BBS).
The RFP will be available by calling the SPAWAR BB, (703)602-9494, or
by Internet at Http://raven.spawar.navy.mil,, and downloading the RFP.
The BBS operates at 14400 BAUD with a setting of 8:N:1. The RFP will
be inMS WORD 7.0. The file will be compressed by a shareware program,
PKZ204G.EXE. The file name will be 97R0070.ZIP. To download this file,
the prospective offeror will need, at a minimum, a PC or MAC with
modem support software that supports VT100 or ANSI standard, a modem
that operates between 300 bps -- 14.4K bps and a minimum of 2.0 Mb free
disk space. All offerors are encouraged to provide answers to an
electronic questionnaire concerning electronic contracting. The
bulletin board will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
However, as demand of the bulletin board may be heavy at times, it may
be necessary to call repeatedly or during non-business hours. If
assistance is needed regarding the bulletin board, please contact Mark
Gurganus at 703-602-1842. Offerors who would like a copy of WSC-6(V)X,
SHF SATCOM Terminals RFP and do not have access to a modem may bring a
high density, 3.5 inch disk to the Contractor Liaison Branch, Space
and Naval Warfare Systems Command, 2451 Crystal Drive, Arlington, VA
22245-5200, room 201 between the hours of 7:30am and 4:00pm Mon-Fri.
The RFP will be available no earlier than 15 days from the date of this
synopsis. Proprietary data submitted in response to this synopsis will
be protected when clearly identified as such. This synopsis is not a
promise by the Government to pay for information received in response
