Moore, Contract Specialist, (202) 324-5287 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued -- This solicitation is being issued as a Request For Quotation (RFQ) #70075. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions & clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 90-42 -- This solicitation is under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) for Small Business-Small Purchase Set-Aside -- The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 5043 and the Business Size standard is 100 employees -- This will be a Firm-Fixed-price contract -- This is an "all or none", "Brand Name or Equal" solicitation -- Manufacturer is Kreonite Corp., 715 E 10th St., Wichita, Kansas 67204) -- Hope Black and White Printer/Processor, Model #2500-RANP, with the following salient characteristics: must be capable of printing black and white prints from 135 mm film to 4"x5" film onto black and white paper from 3 1/2" to 8 1/2" wide; must produce a minimum of 500 8x10 prints per hour and be capable of printing 4x5 contact prints through a lens; printer and processor must be inter-connected and prints must be sorted automatically after processing; system must include a built-in densitometer, plus the following accessories -- one (1) water panel for above (#WPS-2500): must be capable of automatically mixing hot and cold water at a rate of 1 to 4 gallons per minute and be capable of maintaining that water temperature within 3 1/2 degrees F while operating; value must be constructed of stainless steel; be mounted on an aluminum back panel and include a hot and cold water filter; water panel must also include a water solenoid capable of being interfaced directly to the processor -- one (1) foot pedal for above (#HFPK): must be connected directly to the exposure control and allow hands off operation -- one (1) 4x5 printing kit for above, (#HNPK-4x5): must include 4x5 mirror box, fork and lever assembly, 4x5 to 4x5 negative plate assembly with 4x5 adapter and glass -- one (1) lens assembly for above, (#261-0916-501): 4x5 lens assembly must include lens with mount and board, dioptered to print exact 4x5 prints from black and white paper -- one (1) paper magazine for above (HPM-2500): must be capable of handling roll paper from 3 1/2" to 8 1/2" in lengths up to 1150 feet -- one (1) chemical filter case for above (#HCF-2500): must include 24 10", pleated filters that will fit in the Hope Model 2500BW -- and one (1) water filter case for above (#FCW): must include 30 water filters that will fit in the water panel filters noted above -- and a one-year parts and 90-days labor warranty -- Printer/Processor must be installed by vendor -- must include a minimum of 90-days free inspection after installation -- Delivery shall be FOB To: FBI, 2400 Schuster Drive, Cheverly, MD 20785 -- Inspection and acceptance will be done by the Laboratory Division at FBIHQ -- All bids shall be clearly marked with RFQ #70075 and shall be submitted to the address listed on line number seven no later than 4:30 pm EST, April 3, 1997 -- The Point of Contact for all information is Ms. Lisa A.
