Hansen, Contracting Officer, 916-478-6122 Mechanical tree thinning using a feller buncher, whole tree stacking, whole tree yarding and utilization of yarded material and disposal of unutilizable material. The contract consists of 598 acres located on the Sierraville Ranger District. Estimated start date is 06/01/97, contract time 786 days. Under this contract there is an estimated 1.37 MMBF of merchantible logs and 42.5 green tons/acre to be cut, removed or chipped. It is anticipated the contractor's bid will reflect the value of the merchantable material. Road maintenance is required, the installation and removal of a temporary stream crossing and the construction of a 100 foot spur road. No more than 15 acres of tillage is required. Application of an approved borate compound on all stumps 12 inches diameter and larger is required. (0078)
