Pacific Area is proposing a contract for the Haulout and Repair of USCG
44' Motor Life Boat homeported North Bend, Oregon. The work shall be
performed at the contractor's facility. The period of performance
starts 04 August 1997 through 05 September 1997. The solicitation will
be issued on or about 22 April 1997. Major work items include but are
not limited to: haulout, underwater body work, and fuel tank cleaning,
zinc anode renewal, underwater body presevation (25% vinyl), 120VAC
Lighting, aft survivor's compartment insulation renewal, helmsman's
grating renewal, ventilation replacement, and remove stuffing tubes
blkds 9, 15, & 17. This is in accordance with the Small Buisness
Competitiveness Demonstration Program. This notice is for informational

The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and
Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to assist
minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire
short-term working capital for transportation-related contracts. Loans
are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime
