SPECIAL NOTICE Synopsis: CHARTER SCHOOL RESEARCHERS MEETING The U.S. Department of Education will host a Meeting at the U.S. Department of Education, Room 6200, 600 Independence Ave.S.W., Washington, DC, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., on April 8, 1997. This meeting is for charter school researchers. Featured at the meeting will be discussion on how state policies should be coded in the public data base for charter school research to guarantee school confidentiality. There will also be a session to explore the possibilities for a useful and successful major national conference on charter schools. This discussion may lead to a possible procurement to manage such a conference in fiscal year 1998.
