Jefferies, Contracting Officer (615)-454-7841 This project consists of removing existing built-up roof membrane and insulation and installing new built-up roof coverings on the Model Shop (Bldg 451) and Warehouse #1 (Bldg 1476) at Arnold Engineering Development Center, Arnold Air Force Base, Tennessee. The roof assemblies must meet Factory Mutual requirements for Class 1A fire-hazard resistance and Class 1-90 windstorm resistance. Major elements of work include the following: removal and disposal of asbestos and lead-contaminated roofing materials and related flashing; removal and replacement of existing roof deck; providing new insulation, cants, nailers and flashing; providing high-performance asphalt built-up roof systems with flashings; providing retrofit roof drains; providing traffic surfacing, and removing existing gutters and downspouts and replacing with new gutters and downspouts. The estimated order of magnitude is between $500K and $1M. The performance period shall be 120 days following issuance of a notice to proceed, and all work shall be accomplished between the period of 15 April and 15 December.
