Automated Container Load Planner-Munitions. End Item: Software
Technology, Nomenclature: Automated Container Load Planner. FOB;
Unknown. This proposed contract is being considered as a 100 percent
set-aside for HISTORICALLY BLACK COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES (HBCUS) and

Remarks: (1) The current automation tool, Munitions Transportation
Management System (MTMS) provides automated interfaces with shippers,
ports and customers. The automation system is oriented towards
breakbulk movements and is not conductive to identifying containerized
munitions shipments. Off-line (nonautomated) actions must be taken to
identify container requirements. This often results in inaccurate
and/or untimely identification of requirements. Required results of the
development of software to automate ... container load planning
process. Remarks (2): The model will determine individual, compatible
container load plans for preferred and alternate type containers. The
model will calculate the number of containers required to transport the
munition requirements. The software product will identify the necessary
blocking and bracing materials required. (0079) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0121 19970324\13-0004.SOL)
