Graves, Contracting Officer, AMSMI-AC-CACA, 205-842-7147 (PCA). This effort is for low voltage power supply (LVPS) for PAC-2. The contract requires development, fabrication, initial testing, delivery, and system test support using the prototypical LVPS test articles. Quantity 2 per LVPS (total of 8 for initial qualification testing), and 44 total for system test. One additional LVPS for PAC-3 launcher. Design characteristics and performance parameters: (1) form, fit, and functionally interchangeable with existing LVPS; (2) incorporate modular DC-DC converters; (3) provides for enhanced power conversion efficiency; (4) incorporate light emitting diodes (LED) on exterior of LVPS; (5) incorporate graceful degradation capability; (6) facilitate fix forward capability through field replacement of DC-DC converters; (7) provide for built in test (BIT) capability of DC-DC converter operability; (8) provide for lower unit production cost; and (9) enhance LVPS reliability, availability, and maintainability.
