Contracting Officer The proposed procurement is for the repair of the
damage identified during the "Phase 1" inspection of the crashed
damaged MH-47E, S/N 92-0471 helicopter. The Government s minimum needs
can only be satisfied by the unique expertise and services available
from the prime contractor, Boeing Defense & Space Group Helicopter
Division, PO Box 16858, Philadelphia, PA 19142-0858. Opportunity for
subcontracting with the prime contractor is the basis for synopsis.
This is for informational purposes only. F irms that recognize and can
provide the required services described within are encouraged to
identify themselves to the prime and the Contracting Officer. This
repair program shall be conducted in two phases. The first phase of the
repair shall be implemented as soon as possible consisting of the
following tasks: 1. Repair the aft left landing gear structure and
fairings; 2. Repair voids found in the floor beams; 3. Replace the
234N1004 IFIS Arm pins and bearings; 4. Replace cracked center
windshield; 5 Work Appendix C pick-ups (from the Phase 1 report); 6.
Repair/replace the former bulkhead on the left hand forward electrical
pod, located at station 223. The second phase of the repair shall be
implemented after the Government provided crash damaged blades are
weighed, and an analysis of the out of balance affect on the aircraft
and its components can more accurately be determined. Possible tasks
for the phase 2 repair include: 1. Desplice and replace the forward
transmission mounting structure; 2. Disp osition components in
accordance with Appendix F (of the inspection report) The objective of
this procurement is to deliver to the Government, a MH-47E, S/N
