Oswalt, Contracting Officer The Air Force Development Test Center (AFDTC) intends to solicit competitively under the provisions of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, for a 4680 square foot, re-locatable, modular building. This facility will have a total 21 rooms, 18 offices, two bathrooms, one conference room, 20 windows, and two doors. The conference room must be 31 ft x 20 ft with no vertical columns or beams. All structures built for this facility will be designed to be transported to the site as completed structures or as completed modules in a multi-modular single story building or complex. It shall have the capability of being relocated at a later date with relatively minor inconvenience and expense. The building system shall utilize wood framing in floors, walls, and roof construction, with all studs and plates being southern pine, or fir, stud grade or equal. The structure will be located at an explosive test facility and subject to higher than normal blast pressures and occasional fragments from experimental tests. Exterior walls must be a minimum 1/2" thick masonite stucco over plywood with skirting and no exposed trailer hitches. The facility must withstand 140 MPH winds. Special consideration shall be given to the unusual stresses incurring during the transportation and location of said structures. All materials used in the manufacturing of the above mentioned re-locatable building shall be carefully selected on the basis of availability, durability, weight, cost, and general overall quality. This requirement is for a turn key operation including septic tank installation. Ground mounted 15 ton central heat and air system. This facility will require a mansard type roof.
