The Government intends to purchase on a sole source basis the following IMAGEMAKER CD-ROM PRODUCTION TOWER DUPLICATION SYSTEM manufactured and provided by Microtech Conversion Systems (MCS) of Palo Alto, CA to consist of: Pentium 100 PCL 32mb DRAM SVGA Monitor, Floppy Drive, 4gb SCSI A V Rated Hard Disk Drive, (1) Plextor 8X Read Drive, 4 YAMAHA 4X Drives (2 each). The Government requires a system that is completely compatible with the MCS Imagemaker CD-R system currently being utilized by the Government. The MCS Imagemaker's MasterMaker PreMastering utility software allows for UNIX file conversion and allows file selection from network drives, tape drives, cd-rom, mo and other SCSI devices. Due to system configuration and software compatibility issues, it is mandatory that these duplication systems be seamlessly compatible. Award is to be made utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. All responsible sources shall provide manufacturer's specifications with their fax quote which shall be considered by the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren, VA 22448.
