D -- GIS MAPPING AND PROGRAMMING SERVICES SOL R1-12-97-017 POC Contact Point, Contracting, Kathy Kuharski, 406/449-5201, ext. 210 The Forest Service intends to award a sole source contract to Natural Resource Information System, Helena, MT for services to support ecosystem conservation efforts of Region 1 which encompasses Montana, Idaho, North Dakota and South Dakota. They are the only known firm possessing the data necessary to perform the contract. The contract requires access to computerized natural resource data such as stream, watershed, and fisheries for both State and Federal agencies. Work includes programming services and producing map products that incorporate and display this data. Work is estimated to begin July 1, 1997; contract time will be 1 year with 2 option years.
