J -- REPAIR OF SEAL ASSEMBLIES SOL N00253-97-R-0017 DUE 052097 POC Contact Point, Julie Peterson The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Keyport (NUWCDK) intends to solicit services and associated material to repair 300 each government-owned seal assemblies, EG&G Sealol part number 71736 in accordance with NAVSEA Drawing 5979483-1 and 300 each government-owned seal assemblies, EG&G Sealol part number 71565 in accordance with NAVSEA Drawing 5979483-2. This procurement will be made in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The Government intends to negotiate this requirement with EG&G Sealol, Warwick, Rhode Island, on a sole source basis. EG&G Sealol possesses the proprietary procedures required to repair the seal assemblies. The Government cannot provide specifications for a competitive procurement as it does not have access to these procedures.
