PROJECT IS UNRESTRICTED. DESIGN/BUILD. The project includes design,
documentation and construction of office and support space in existing
Bldgs 104, 116, 197 and new Bldg 201, and parking deck. The project
requires the demolition of existing buildings, renovation of existing
buildings, addition oto existing buildings, new construction,
waterfront development and site infrastructure. Bldg 104 will be
renovated to provide approximately 12,600 sm on four levels. Bldg 197
will be renovated and expanded to the east to provide a total of
approx. 59,500 sm on six levels, including mechanical penthouse level.
A new 5-level bldg 201 will be constructed on the site of existing
bldgs 142, 198, and 201 and provide approximately 16,900 sm of office
space. Bldg 116 and adjacent service yard will be modified to
accommodate central mechanical equipment and support services for the
project. An 8-level parking deck, (min. 1,518 parking spaces) including
1-level below grade, will be constructed on the site of existing bldgs
28 and 143. The Contractor is to provide all design documentation
including civil, landscape, architectural, structural, mechanical,
plumbing, electrical, and fire protection engineering required to
complete construction of this project. This will be a Request for
Proposal. A technical and cost proposal are required with past
performance information to be submitted up-front during the first phase
of the evaluation. The second phase will require a technical and cost
proposal. Technical and Past Performance are considered equal to Price.
Technical Evaluation criteria are: Work Plan, Relevant Experience,
Staffing, Contract Admin, and Management of Subcontracting
Opportunities. The ESTIMATED DATE for release of plans & specs is 1 MAY
1997 with a 60-day response due date. Past Performance info required
within 45-days. Cost of plans & specs is $500.00 (NON-REFUNDABLE).
