The proposed procurement is for the construction of a parking lot and access drive at the Federal Emergency Management Agency, Mount Weather Emergency Assistance Center, 19844 Blue Ridge Mountain Road (State Route 601), Bluemont, VA 20135, Loudoun County. Contract work includes erosion and sediment control, clearing, grubbing, tree preservation, concrete testing, soils testing, earthwork, rock excavation, waterline realignment, turf establishment, and installation of underground utilities, concrete curbs and gutter, bituminous concrete pavement, guardrails, paved ditch, storm drainage, site lighting, signage, and pavement markings. Prospective Contractors are required to possess a Virginia Class A license to submit a bid in response to the solicitation. A prebid conference and site visit will be scheduled, specific date/time to be identified in the solicitation. The period of performance will be 210 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed. Magnitude of construction for this procurement is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. A firm-fixed-price construction contract is anticipated to be awarded.
