Type Contract to remove underground fuel storage tanks and associated
pipelines at various locations in the states of Texas and Louisiana,
and New Mexico. Work includes excavation, testing of soil and
groundwater, removal of contaminated soil and/or groundwater (if
required), removal of tanks, disposal of tanks in place, backfilling,
replacing tank (if required) placing pavement, and establishment of
turf. Actual work performed will be authorized by delivery orders
issued independently to the contractor during the term of the contract.
Estimated Cost Range: $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. Drawings are
bound in the specs and are $15.00 per copy. Requests by mail must
include payment in the applicable amount by company check or money
order made payable to Finance & Accounting Officer and sent to USACE,
ATTN: CESWF-CT-M, Room 1A01, 819 Taylor Street, P.O. Box 17300, Fort
Worth, Texas 76102-0300. Requests in person may be paid by cash. NO
EXPRESS MAIL PROCEDURES WILLBE UTILIZED ON INITIAL MAILINGS OF PLANS
AND SPECS. No refund will be made and materials need not be returned.
If project is canceled or no award is made, cost of plans and
specifications will be refunded only upon written request. Solicitation
to be issued on or about 07April 1997. Receipt of Proposal is 9 May
1997. Duration of the contract is 365 calendar days with one option
period of 365 days. Offers from all qualified business concerns are
solicited. If a large business is selected it must comply with FAR
52.219-9 clause regarding the requirement for a subcontracting plan on
that part of the work it intends to subcontract. The Fort Worth
Districts goals are as follows (expressed as a percentage of the
contractor's total planned subcontract amount): Small Business --
55%;Small Disadvantaged Business -- 8.5%; Woman Owned Small Business --
3%; Historically Black Colleges & Universities/Minority Institutions
