59 -- TELEPHONE CABLES SOL DAKF40-97-R-0012 DUE 061697 POC Contract Specialist BOB DRISCOLL/YVONNE PIERCE (910) 396-4362 X225 (Site Code DAKF40) The US Army, Fort Bragg, NC has a requirement for various types of telephone cables at assorted lengths, and Building Entrance Terminals for delivery to Fort Bragg, NC during the period 1 September 1997 thru 31 August 1998. A requirements type contract is anticipated. The telephone cables will range in size from 2 copper pairs to 2400 copper pairs, 22 and 24 awg. Cables will be used for outdoor direct burial applications and installation into 4 and 6 inch PVC ductbank. Cable shall not exceed 3.87 inches in overall diameter. Cable will be ordered in specific lengths and spooled onto reels. Cable reels shall not exceed 6.5 feet in reel diameter. Cable shall meet all REA PE-39 specifications. Time specified for receipt of offers is estimated, actual opening time and date will be included in the solicitation. This procurement will be issued as an unrestricted (full and open competition) requirement. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) assigned to this acquisition is 3357.
