The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) plans to procure a radio frequency network/spectrum/impedance analyzer such as a Hewlett Packard Model 4396B or equivalent and accessories for use in the project Electrical Injury Protection System to measure the insertion loss between the human effective transmitting antenna and the power line effective receiving antenna at the frequencies ranged from several hundred kHz to several hundreds MHz. It will also measure and display the input/output impedance, s-parameters and standing wave ratio of the antennas, and frequency spectrum and input/output impedances of the radio frequency electrical injury protection device and its components. Request for Quotation Number 97-006, which will be issued on or about April 2, 1997, and contains the specification with salient features that must be met by any offer to be considered for award.
