The current platform consists of a Sun SPAR10 workstation configured to utilize Network Systems Corp. H970 NMS (Network Management System) software. This hardware and software will be used to gather, graphically display, and analyze the status, as well as provide performance statistics of NetWork Systems components in WAN network utilized for CFOL/EDT traffic in the Computing and Service Center environment. As these components consist of Network Systems DX Units that utilize proprietary HYPERchannel and NETEX protocols for connectivity, the Network Management System must have the ability to communicate using these protocols. The Network Management System must also have the ability to generate reports based on the HYPERchannel and NETEX statistics gathered by the system. Network Management System NMS-4 consist of the following: Dual 167 MHz processors, 4 GigaByte Disk Space, 128 MegaByte Memory, 4-8 GigaByte 4mm Tape Drive, 4X CD ROM Drive, 20 Inch Color Monitor, PS970 NMS Software (Solaris), Solaris OS 2.5.1 (Sun OS 5.5.1), and Installation. All responsible sources who can provide and meet the above requirements shall submit a written quotation by April 8, 1997. All quotes shall include price(s); FOB point; a POC (name and telephone number); GSA contract number, if applicable; delivery date; business size and payment terms. No solicitations will be issued, therefore such requests for solicitations will be considered non responsive. A purchase order will be awarded on the basis of price alone.
